I love this alarm clock. The only thing I would like it to have is a backlight that stayed on all the time. You can't see the time at night unless you have the projection on or press the snooze button. I do like that you can turn off the projection during the day. I usually just turn it on when I'm going to bed. Bought one for my boyfriend because he liked mine so much.

I would NOT recommend this clock. The cord is too short and it only works on the right side of our bed. You also can't turn it far enough to project where you want it to. Also, I could care less about the outside temperature feature (which doesn't work)...that display's for far to long vs. the clock.

My first impression of receiving this unit is the impressive build quality it had. Its feels very sturdy with a good weight. Adjusting the projector doesnt seem like flimsy. The AC plug is protected by a cover so it cant accidentally come loose (with 2 kids under 3 playing in the room, this helps).

Setting up was very simple. It comes with a set of AA for backup so you had to remove those plastic strip to "activate" the batteries. In addition, unscrew a small bottom plate to plug in the AC adapter. I manually adjusted the time since the location of my bedroom doesnt get reception for the atomic radio (I didnt mind)

I didnt have to setup the external temperature sensor since I already have an Oregon Scientific sensor for a weather station. The clock automatically receive the signal and display the correct outside temperature.

Next setup was where I want the projection to be. The projection will display (1) Time and (2) temperature (either inside or outside--but not both). In addition to the normal up/down physical adjustment of the projector, there is also a knob for tilting the display. This is key since my setup is at an off angle and needed the tilt to show the clock in an upright position.

Also, there is a focus button to make sure the clock projection is nice and crisp.

There is a switch which dictates whether the clock projection should stay ON while plugged in (projection display will always be OFF if you're running on batteries). If its OFF, then you would have to hit the snooze button to project the display.

I didnt buy this unit for the forecast/alarm clock feature so I cant comment on it. But I am very happy that I'm able to glance at my wall and able to tell time with the outside temperature reading. Good buy.
